The Airbus A320 passenger plane traveling from Dublin to Rome was diverted to Evreux airbase in northern France on Thursday morning after a bomb alert was reported on board, according to Xinhua.
French media covered the incident, and the television channel TF1 confirmed the flight was monitored in real time by authorities. The aircraft turned back while flying over southern Paris, as noted by flight‑tracking website Flightradar24, before circling several times.
The Anadolu Agency reported that the flight first circled north, then returned south toward Evreux in Normandy, and that French authorities were watching the situation from the prime minister’s office. The report added that the aircraft was seen turning back over the Paris area before entering the airbase’s flight path.
Both Xinhua and Anadolu confirm that French authorities handled the incident without further incident, maintaining security and monitoring the situation in real time.
