In brief

A meeting will take place in Brussels on Wednesday with EU, U.S., and Ukrainian negotiators to discuss post‑war reconstruction and a prosperity plan. It follows earlier talks in Miami and will include representatives from France, Germany, Britain, NATO and the World Bank. The U.S. will also plan separate negotiations with Russia in Abu Dhabi.

EU, U.S., and Ukrainian negotiators are slated to meet in Brussels on Wednesday to chart a post‑war reconstruction plan for Ukraine, a European Commission spokesperson confirmed, a detail that both Xinhua and Reuters have reported.

The gathering, hosted by the European Commission, will bring together delegations from the United States, Ukraine, and key EU partners such as France, Germany, and Britain, as well as NATO and the World Bank, source Xinhua noted.

European Commission spokeswoman Paula Pinho said:

"So tomorrow the European Commission will host a meeting with representatives from Ukraine, from the United States, France, Germany, the UK, NATO and the World Bank and this meeting will build on earlier talks that took place in Miami," she told reporters in Brussels.

According to Xinhua, the Commission will be represented at the national security adviser level, but the spokesperson did not name the official; details of U.S. participation were also reported as unavailable at that time, a claim that appears only in Xinhua’s coverage.

U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff had earlier announced that U.S. negotiators would meet representatives from France, Germany, Britain, the EU and NATO in Brussels, and that the United States would mediate working‑level talks between Ukraine and Russia in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 10‑11, a plan also reported by Reuters.

Xinhua added that NATO spokesperson Allison Hart confirmed NATO representatives would meet with French, German, British and U.S. officials in Brussels later this week, although the alliance did not disclose precise dates or agendas.

The meeting, which follows earlier dialogues in Miami, is viewed as a critical step toward a lasting, sustainable peace and a prosperity plan for Ukraine.
