Sri Lanka’s Cabinet of Ministers approved three road‑repair contracts on Tuesday, the government announced, to rehabilitate and upgrade sections of road damaged by Cyclone Ditwah.
The contracts, totaling approximately 3.33 billion rupees (about 10.03 million U.S. dollars), were awarded through a national competitive bidding process to the lowest responsive bidders, the cabinet decision noted.
The cyclone, which struck the country in late November to early December 2025, caused more than 600 deaths and an estimated 4.1 billion U.S. dollars of damage.
