Best-selling author Colleen Hoover has revealed she has been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with cancer. The 46-year-old writer, famed for her novels such as 'It Ends With Us' and 'Reminders of Him', announced that she has nearly completed radiation therapy, following a successful surgery.

Hoover shared her diagnosis publicly via an Instagram post that featured a selfie of her in a hospital gown. In her message, she reassured fans about her health, stating, I'm doing much better. I chose to keep my diagnosis private until I confirmed the success of my surgery and the details of other treatments.\

Before going public, Hoover updated her fans in a private Facebook chat about a month earlier, informing them that the cancer had been successfully removed and expressed that she was feeling okay. She described the diagnosis as initially 'huge and scary', confiding that she had postponed seeking medical advice to focus on work, particularly the filming of her book adaptation overseas.

Hoover has not disclosed the specific type of cancer she has but did mention it may be linked to lifestyle and environmental factors. She humorously noted her aversion to healthy eating with a light-hearted post stating, I hate vegetables... if anyone sees me eating grilled chicken and drinking water, I'm probably real mad about it.

Amidst her health challenges, Hoover remains active, attending events including a midnight book release for her latest work, 'Woman Down', proving her resilience through humor and strength. Not because I'm lying about anything, but because I'm a badass, she emphasized about her ability to balance her recovery and career. Hoover’s journey continues to inspire many, showcasing her strength as both an author and a individual facing life's unpredictabilities.
