On 29 October 2026, coalition air defenses intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia toward the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Both releases from the agency confirm that the missile launch took place on that day and that it was aimed at Saudi territory. In one report, Colonel Turki Al‑Maliki, the commander of coalition forces, announced the interception, while in the second, Major General Turki Al‑Malki, spokesperson for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, confirmed the event.

The missile was fired from the Houthi-controlled region and targeted the Eastern Province, underscoring the continued threat posed by Houthi militants toward Saudi airspace.

Saudi officials maintain that the coalition’s air‑defence network has been continuously improving its surveillance and interception capabilities to neutralize potential missile threats.
