Detectives from an organized crime strike force executed a search warrant on Oct. 15 at a property in Glendenning, 36 km northwest of central Sydney, seizing 45.4 liters of liquid methamphetamine, 5.6 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 48 rounds of ammunition. The seized drugs were estimated to have a combined street value of 15.4 million Australian dollars.
A 38‑year‑old man was arrested then, charged with supplying a prohibited drug in the “greater than large commercial quantities” category, which carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, and with possessing unlicensed ammunition.
Two additional men, both 46, were arrested on Tuesday when officers executed subsequent search warrants. Police seized an extra 88 grams of methamphetamine and located an inactive clandestine laboratory. One 46‑year‑old was charged with supplying a prohibited drug in the same “greater than large commercial quantities” category, while the other faced charges of supplying a prohibited drug in “greater than indictable, but less than commercial” quantities and supplying an unregistered pistol.
All three suspects were denied bail.
