Singapore's services sector announced in a business expectations survey that 15 percent of firms anticipate a more favourable outlook for the period from October 2026 to March 2027, up from 13 percent a few months earlier, a figure reported by both Xinhua and the Financial Daily Treasury Outlook.

In the same survey, 21 percent of firms are optimistic about business conditions, while 6 percent expect them to weaken, according to Xinhua and echoed by the Singapore Department of Statistics. All subsectors of the services industry reported an expectation of improvement.

The Xinhua source uniquely notes that a net weighted 16 percent of companies expect operating revenue to rise in the last quarter of 2026, a detail not reflected in other outlets.

Financial analysts from the Daily Treasury Outlook highlighted the lift as a move from a previous -4 percent outlook three months ago, indicating a strengthening business sentiment across the sector.
