In brief

Serbia's Republic Electoral Commission announced that repeat voting will take place at 53 polling stations on November 1. The stations include 31 where results could not be determined and 22 where elections were annulled, with two situated in eastern Serbia’s Bulgarian minority region. BTA reported preliminary results from the snap elections, showing the Student List ahead and United Serbia behind, while RIK confirmed the November 1 schedule.

On 26 February 2027, the Republic Electoral Commission (REC) announced that repeat voting will be held at 53 polling stations on Sunday, 1 November, following unclear results or annulments from the October 25 parliamentary elections, according to BTA.

The 53 stations include 31 where results could not be determined and an additional 22 where the vote had been annulled; the REC did not disclose the specific reasons for the annulments, BTA reported.

Two of the affected polling stations are located in eastern Serbia, in areas where members of the Bulgarian national minority live.

Preliminary results of the snap elections were released by the REC on October 26; 8,187 of 8,392 polling stations were processed, BTA said, with the Student List receiving 52.17% of the votes counted and the United Serbia list 39.17%.

Four minority lists also captured seats in Parliament, according to BTA.

RIK also confirmed that elections would be repeated on 1 November, reporting the same timetable for the rerun.
