In brief
Saudi Aramco said its adjusted net income rose 9 % year‑on‑year to $31.2 bn in Q3 2026, bolstered by strong operating performance and refining margins. Cash flow from operations climbed to $38.7 bn, while free cash flow rose to $28.2 bn. The company also announced a 49‑percent stake in AI firm HUMAIN and highlighted ongoing upstream projects amid geopolitical tensions.
Saudi Aramco said on Tuesday that its adjusted net income for the third quarter of 2026 rose 9 percent from the same period a year earlier to $31.2 billion, according to a statement released in Riyadh.
Operating cash flow increased from $36.1 billion to $38.7 billion, and free cash flow grew from $23.6 billion to $28.2 billion. Downstream adjusted earnings before interest and taxes surged 234 percent, driven by stronger refining margins.
On the upstream side, the company noted that production had started at the Zuluf crude oil increment and that projects such as Jafurah phase two, the Fadhili Gas Plant expansion, and the Dammam development project remained on schedule. The East‑West Pipeline continues to provide export flexibility, and Aramco is exploring additional overseas storage and alternative export routes.
Aramco also added that it had acquired a 49 percent stake in the artificial‑intelligence company HUMAIN, involving the transfer of assets and a cash contribution of about $2.6 billion, aiming to deepen its presence in the fast‑growing AI sector.
Aramco President and CEO Amin H. Nasser said that geopolitical uncertainty and attacks on key energy facilities had increased pressure on global supplies during the quarter, but the company’s operational flexibility and supply network enabled it to continue meeting customer demand.
According to a report on Zawya, the company’s 9‑percent rise in adjusted net income is "underpinned by operational excellence, rapid restoration capabilities, flexibility, and resilience," a detail that appears in that outlet only.
