A group of British anti‑war activists staged a protest outside the Israeli pavilion at London’s World Travel Market on Tuesday, accusing the Zionist regime’s pavilion of promoting tourism in illegally occupied Palestinian territories.
The protest, organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, said the pavilion’s presence had violated commitments declared by the UK government. In a message addressed to Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, the campaign urged the minister to clarify whether he would remain committed to banning promotion of illegal settlements.
According to a Facebook post from MiddleEastEye, fifteen members of the UK Parliament have written to the government demanding "urgent action" to stop the international travel event that began on Tuesday, citing concerns over the promotion of occupied lands.
These developments reflect mounting domestic pressure on the UK to address the alleged illegal promotion of Israeli settlements at a major tourism event.
