In brief

Bulgaria’s Central Election Commission confirmed that Iliana Yotova and vice‑presidential candidate Kiril Valchev won the runoff with 57.581% of the vote, making Yotova the country’s first female president. Turnout was about 26.8%, with more than 1.09 million votes for the winners and 750,000 for their opponents. Yotova also announced her victory on November 1 as reported by Binance.

Iliana Yotova and Kiril Valchev won Bulgaria’s presidential election with 57.581% of the vote, making Yotova the first woman to hold the highest office, according to the Central Election Commission, which released official results on November 2.

The commission’s website recorded that Yotova and Valchev received 57.581% of the second‑round ballots, while opponents Andrey Gyurov and Georgi Kandev trailed with 39.467%, receiving about 750,000 votes.

More than a million voters cast ballots for Yotova and Valchev, and the overall voter turnout for the runoff was approximately 26.8% of eligible voters, up from 22.98% in the first round.

The commission noted that 2.952% of ballots, roughly 56,000, did not support either side, and that the remaining 0.05% would not alter the final outcome.

While exit‑poll data from a Trend survey reported Yotova with 58.1% of the vote, that figure is an opinion poll and not an official count, according to TASS.

Iliana Yotova announced on November 1 that she had won the second round, as reported by a Binance post.
