In the announcement, Farooq highlighted that Pakistan’s participation will serve as a platform to showcase the country’s cultural heritage, trade potential and future vision. He said the strong ties with Saudi Arabia would reinforce commercial and tourism opportunities for both nations.

He added that the pavilion, located in the Culture District, would blend Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage with its vision for the future, drawing on the country’s successful bronze award for its design at Expo 2025 Osaka.
"We welcome the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the growing list of countries that have officially signed their participation contracts for Expo 2030 Riyadh. This reflects the continued progress of participating countries' preparations as they enter a new phase of developing their pavilions, programs, and visitor experiences for 2030. Through its pavilion in the Culture District, Pakistan will offer an experience combining its rich cultural heritage with its vision for the future," Al‑Marri said.
A report from Ajel English noted that Pakistan’s signing comes as preparations accelerate for the expo, with more than 185 official participants having confirmed their commitment to the event.
Pakistan’s earlier participation at Expo 2025 Osaka was marked by a bronze award for its pavilion’s distinctive design. The new contract aims to replicate and expand on that success by creating an engaging, multi‑cultural experience for the millions of visitors expected in 2030.
