Emma Heming Willis, wife of retired actor Bruce Willis, recently addressed her husband's declining cognitive health due to frontotemporal dementia. Speaking on ABC's Good Morning America, she noted, Bruce is still very mobile. Bruce is in really great health overall, you know; it's just his brain that is failing him.

Diagnosed over three years ago, Bruce's condition has resulted in significant language issues, forcing the couple to adapt communication methods. Heming Willis is set to release a book titled 'Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope, and Yourself on the Caregiving Path,' aiming to provide guidance and support for caregivers.

Despite the hardships, Heming Willis remarked on the moments that still shine through, such as her husband’s hearty laugh and the occasional twinkle in his eye, expressing gratitude for the time they share together.

Experts have commended her for speaking openly about their family's struggles, stating that personal stories like theirs are critical for raising awareness about dementia and the importance of research in the field. Their story will also be featured in an ABC special airing soon, shedding light on the realities of living with dementia.
