Brand Finance announced that the combined value of the top 500 brands in ASEAN has increased to $315.6 billion in 2026, an 8 % year‑on‑year rise, according to a report released on Friday in Nanning, Guangxi.
The survey notes banking remains the largest source of brand value, with 73 banks tracked consistently adding $26 billion and accounting for nearly 60 % of the overall increase among the 378 brands analyzed.
Travel and leisure brands are growing rapidly; airlines were the fastest‑growing major sector, rising 67 % since 2023, reshaping the brand landscape in the region.
Alex Haigh, managing director of Brand Finance Asia Pacific, said that as Chinese and ASEAN companies expand across each other’s markets, brand strength will be an important differentiator.
Companies that invest in reputation, customer relationships and local relevance will be better positioned to build sustainable value beyond their home markets.
Haigh added that those priorities will help firms build sustainable brand value as they pursue opportunities in new markets.
Brand Finance, founded in 1996, publishes over 100 reports annually, ranking brands across sectors and countries.
