At least seven people were killed in Russian strikes across Ukraine overnight, including five in the central city of Dnipro, where officials reported that an apartment building was hit. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned that the attack persisted 'practically all night,' with rescue workers still searching for survivors under the rubble of destroyed buildings in Dnipro on Saturday morning.

During the heavy assault, British jets were deployed from Romania when Russian drones were detected near the border, but the UK Ministry of Defence dismissed claims that any drones were brought down. Concurrently, Ukraine executed some of its longest-distance drone strikes deep within Russian territory.

In Yekaterinburg, located nearly a thousand miles from the Ukrainian border, officials reported six injuries from a building strike, while nearby Chelyabinsk reported downed drones targeting an industrial site.

Russian missiles and drones also targeted buildings in the northern city of Chernihiv, resulting in two fatalities, besides strikes in Odesa and Kharkiv. Ukrainian authorities indicated that they repelled the majority of over 600 Russian drones, marking the most significant attack in days.

Zelensky criticized the unchanging Russian tactics which consist of targeting ordinary infrastructure like residential areas and energy facilities. He noted that the assaults were extensive and damaging.

Russia's Ministry of Defence claimed to have intercepted 127 drones across various regions during the attack. Furthermore, they reported control over the village of Bochkove near Kharkiv, but Ukrainian officials have not confirmed this claim. Meanwhile, Romania's defense ministry confirmed ongoing investigations into objects that fell on its territory during the Russian offensive.

As peace talks remain stalled, Ukraine continues to seek international support for its military operations. Recently, Zelensky met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss enhancing air defense cooperation and military ties amidst increased regional interest in Ukraine's drone warfare capabilities.
