Andrew and Tristan Tate are facing 21 charges including rape and human trafficking, authorized by the U.K. Crown Prosecution Service. These charges follow a separate investigation in Romania and come after European Arrest Warrants were issued for the brothers' extradition to the U.K.

The British authorities have moved forward with serious charges against Andrew Tate, a notable online influencer, and his brother Tristan Tate. The Crown Prosecution Service disclosed that the brothers face allegations of rape, human trafficking, and assault, with a total of 21 charges filed against them. Although the charges were authorized in January 2024, their public confirmation occurred only recently. The Tate brothers, who hold dual citizenship in the U.K. and the U.S., are set to be extradited to the United Kingdom once separate criminal proceedings in Romania are completed, as the law stipulates that charges cannot be lodged against them until they are present in Britain.Andrew Tate, 38, is facing 10 separate charges, which include rape, controlling prostitution for gain, and assault resulting in actual bodily harm, all related to allegations made by three women. His brother Tristan, aged 36, faces 11 charges including similar allegations of rape and human trafficking. Both brothers have denied the claims and their lawyer, Joseph McBride, described the development as "old news," insisting that nothing new had emerged.Due to legal protections in the U.K., the identities of the accusers are kept confidential, ensuring anonymity for life concerning reports of sexual offenses. The pertinent evidence leading to the charges was compiled by Bedfordshire Police, as stated by the prosecution service.European Arrest Warrants have been executed, resulting in Romanian courts ordering the Tates' extradition to the U.K., but the brothers must first resolve their ongoing legal issues in Romania. Furthermore, a civil lawsuit against Andrew Tate has also emerged, filed by four British women in London's High Court, and it was revealed that he was residing in Romania at the time. The Tates, often associated with controversial ideologies, have purportedly visited Florida earlier this year, post restrictions affecting their travel.
