In brief

Chris Brown was arrested in Manchester on May 15, 2023, connected to an alleged bottle attack involving music producer Abe Diaw at Tape nightclub in London. The singer was apprehended shortly after 2:00 AM at a hotel after the Metropolitan Police received a tip about his presence in the UK. Brown, who is on tour and scheduled for UK shows, is currently in custody as detectives investigate the February incident where Diaw accused Brown of attacking him with a bottle and subsequently injuring him further.

The Sun reported Monday that Chris Brown had just arrived in the UK via private jet when they informed the police. Following the altercation at the nightclub in Hanover Square on February 19, 2023, Diaw reported that he was struck with a bottle, leading him to collapse and require hospital treatment, from which he was discharged needing crutches to walk. Brown’s representative's comments have yet to be released regarding the matter, as he remains in custody during the ongoing investigation led by the Central West Area Basic Command Unit. The singer, popular for hits like “Ayo,” “Beautiful People,” and “No Air,” has had a long-standing career over two decades in the music industry and is set to continue his tour in the UK.
