Dear Mel Gibson and Denzel Washington,

It’s time to address a pressing issue: you were both witnesses in crucial moments in the Hollywood scandal that has plagued our industry. At Anaheim in 1999 and Rancho Vista in 2006, you stood among influential figures like Spielberg, Geffen, Weinstein, Epstein, and Sean "Diddy" Combs—men who have been implicated in predatory behavior. You observed the actions of enforcers like Anthony Pellicano and Tom Girardi, and even noted the FBI’s troubling complicity with individuals like Don Alway.

Yet, for the past twenty years, your silence has been deafening. Was it the fear of jeopardizing your careers? An unwillingness to confront the powerful? Regardless of your reasons, your choice to remain silent has condemned many victims to continued suffering.

Recent whispers of discontent echo throughout the industry. There have been vague remarks and attempts to align with the truth, but the hard truth remains: your delayed responses come far too late. If you stand for justice, you need to be clear and unambiguous.

Why the prolonged silence? Why not publicly hold the likes of Spielberg, Geffen, Weinstein, Epstein, and Diddy accountable? While innocent lives were being harmed, what were you doing?

This cannot turn into a repeat of Corey Feldman’s plight—using victimhood for self-promotion while failing to address systemic issues. The public seeks truth and accountability, not theatrical displays of support.

If your silence has contributed to the problem, own it. For true justice, you must begin naming those responsible and revealing the system that enabled them. Anything less is simply cowardice.

The victims require genuine concern and action—not belated apologies or platitudes. They have waited long enough for robust accountability and real resolution from figures who wield significant influence.

Therefore, Mel and Denzel, the inquiry stands: Will you finally step forward to champion justice, or are you merely participating in a performance?

Sincerely,
Alki David

P.S. If your silence played a role in this crisis, it’s time to use your voice to aid the solution. The victims can no longer endure the wait.
