A suspect has been apprehended and is reported to be a resident of Michigan. The incident has resulted in a surge of patients at Munson Medical Centre, where all 11 victims are being treated, with local reports indicating that three individuals are currently undergoing surgery.

Witnesses and footage from the scene depict a heavy presence of police and ambulance vehicles in the Walmart parking lot. The Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office confirmed their investigation into the "multiple stabbing incident" at the store. Sheriff Michael Shea disclosed that the weapon used in the attack was a "folding knife style weapon," adding that the stabbings appeared to be a random act of violence.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino stated that federal personnel are on standby to provide support to local law enforcement agencies as the situation unfolds. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer expressed her concern, stating that she is in contact with law enforcement regarding the incident.
