The Metropolitan Police in London reported on Thursday that a 21-year-old man named Roman Lavrynovych, a Ukrainian national, has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life. The charges stem from three fires, two of which occurred at properties associated with Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The first fire was lit outside the doorway of Starmer's family home in Kentish Town, currently rented out, while another blaze took place at a previous residence of the Prime Minister in north London. Lavrynovych was arrested on Tuesday, and both incidents are being treated with serious concern due to their proximity to a prominent political figure.
