A 28-year-old Chinese student, Zou Zhenhao, is awaiting sentencing in London after being convicted of drugging and raping at least 10 women in both Britain and his home country, China. The case has drawn significant attention, with investigators calling Zou “one of the most prolific predators” they have encountered.

Zou, originally from Dongguan in Guangdong Province, was studying mechanical engineering at University College London when the attacks took place. His crimes are believed to have occurred from September 2019 to May 2023. Police have uncovered evidence suggesting there may be as many as 50 additional potential victims, as Zou recorded his assaults using hidden cameras inside his residences.

Kevin Southworth, a senior officer in the Metropolitan Police, emphasized that the cocktail of drugs used by Zou to incapacitate his victims could leave many unaware of what really happened to them, complicating efforts to identify everyone affected. "The sad fact of it is that there may well be some women on those videos who we may never identify," Southworth stated.

Following Zou's conviction, authorities have urged other potential victims to come forward, highlighting the continuous impact of such predatory behavior on individuals and society.
