TOLEDO, Ohio – Vice President JD Vance, in an address in his home state, attributed the chaotic environment surrounding immigration issues to the actions of the 'far left.' Vance suggested that to reduce unrest, particularly noted in a recent incident in Minneapolis involving law enforcement, stricter enforcement of immigration policies is necessary. He stated, 'If you want to turn down the chaos in Minneapolis, stop fighting immigration enforcement and accept that we have to have a border in this country.'
As he prepares to visit Minnesota, Vance plans to meet with ICE officials to discuss the fallout from the shooting of Renee Good, a local mother who was shot during a confrontation with agents. He called Good’s death 'a tragedy of her own making' and supported the actions of the ICE agent involved. Additionally, Vance praised law enforcement for arresting protesters who disrupted a church service last Sunday, asserting their actions were legally unjustified.
Vance’s visit coincides with a broader effort to reinforce the economic successes of the Trump administration while also rallying support for key Republican candidates in the upcoming midterms, highlighting the importance of maintaining a clear stance on immigration enforcement.
