Chalamet's Sweet Win

Timothée Chalamet was among the main winners as Hollywood's finest gathered for this year's Golden Globe Awards.

Chalamet, 30, continued his pursuit of greatness as he took home the award for best actor in a musical or comedy for the table tennis-centered film *Marty Supreme*.

Despite DiCaprio missing out, his film *One Battle After Another* won the most awards overall, taking home four awards including best musical or comedy film and best director.

Irish actress Jessie Buckley was named best drama actress for her role in *Hamnet*, which also earned accolades as best drama film.

Vampire thriller *Sinners* was a favorite but only captured the box office achievement prize and best score.

The Golden Globes, seen as a precursor to the Academy Awards, highlighted achievements across both film and television. Other notable winners on Sunday included Teyana Taylor, Rose Byrne, Wagner Moura, and Stellan Skarsgård. British actors Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, and Erin Doherty also earned recognition for their performances in the Netflix drama *Adolescence*.

Chalamet's victory provides a boost in his race towards the Oscars. During his acceptance speech, he expressed gratitude, stating, I'm in a category with many greats. It was his fifth nomination but his first win at the Globes, and he acknowledged his parents and partner Kylie Jenner in a heartfelt moment.

Jessie Buckley's Emotional Acceptance

Jessie Buckley was honored for her performance in *Hamnet*, expressing admiration for the diverse team that brought the story to life. She emphasized the importance of storytelling and honored the experiences of her fellow crew members.
