Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s 15‑point plan for Gaza, saying Israel will not pull out troops until Hamas is genuinely disarmed.
Trump’s Board of Peace had announced an agreement for the complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza.
Hamas representatives have said that handing over heavy weapons would only happen if Israel ends "all forms of aggression" and withdraws from Gaza.
Since agreeing to a ceasefire last October, Israel has continued to strike in the territory.
"Israel rejects the 15‑point document," Netanyahu told a cabinet meeting on Sunday, adding that the military would keep countering threats.
The prime minister is in discussions with U.S. officials on possible pathways, while domestic pressures from far‑right allies urge him to abandon the Gaza agenda.
Trump’s plan, announced last September, also called for a Gaza Board of Peace, unilateral disarmament, Israeli withdrawal, and reconstruction efforts.
