Jonathan Andic, the son of Mango founder Isak Andic, has been arrested in connection with his father's death. The detainment occurred on Tuesday as part of a reopened investigation into Isak's passing, originally labeled an accident.

Isak Andic, 71, tragically died in December 2024 after falling from a ravine while hiking in the Montserrat mountains near Barcelona. Reports have varied about whether Jonathan and his father were alone at the time of the fall.

In previous statements, Jonathan has denied any responsibility concerning his father’s death. Following a series of investigations, authorities initially closed the case in early 2025 but later reopened it citing inconsistencies in Jonathan's testimony.

During the new questioning, Jonathan was transported from his home early in the morning and later faced a judge who mandated his detention with bail set at €1 million. Additional conditions bar him from leaving the country and require weekly court check-ins.

Isak Andic, a significant figure in the fashion industry, co-founded Mango in 1984 and expanded it into a global brand with nearly 3,000 stores worldwide, boasting a net worth of approximately $4.5 billion at his passing. Following Isak's death, the company's current CEO expressed that his absence will be deeply felt and emphasized the importance of honoring his legacy through the continuation of the brand.
