President Donald Trump has invoked the name of Attorney General Pam Bondi in a call for aggressive investigations into his political adversaries. In a social media post, Trump stated: We can't delay any longer, it's killing our reputation and credibility.

Trump voiced his frustration that nothing is being done, specifically targeting figures such as former FBI director James Comey, New York Attorney General Letitia James, and Democratic Senator Adam Schiff.

His comments came as he praised Bondi for her performance as Attorney General, but criticized the Justice Department for not acting quickly enough against those he believes are guilty. “I have reviewed over 30 statements and posts saying that nothing is being done,” Trump remarked. These allegations prompted backlash from Democrats, notably Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who warned that Trump’s actions mirrored dictatorial practices.

Schumer emphasized the importance of maintaining a civil service in the justice system, free from partisan influence. He's turning it into an instrument that goes after his enemies, whether they're guilty or not, Schumer asserted.

In response to inquiries, Trump reiterated, They have to act. They have to act fast, and expressed belief in Bondi's potential success as Attorney General.

This incident follows the departure of federal prosecutor Erik Siebert, whom Trump reportedly asked to resign for not prosecuting James over mortgage fraud allegations. Siebert's internal assessments suggested insufficient evidence for such actions.

James has dismissed the allegations against her as baseless and accuses Trump of seeking revenge following her successful civil fraud lawsuit against him in 2023.

Trump has aggressively pursued investigations against his perceived political enemies, even openly discussing the firing of prosecutors tied to investigations against him. His administration promises to approach political rivalries with a retributive focus.
