Leopard attack on liquor store in Rajasthan
CCTV footage captured a wild leopard bursting into a liquor store in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan, headbutting a salesman and later attacking a cleaning worker inside the shop.
Thankfully the employees were not seriously injured; they managed to escape as the animal hunkered down near the counter, while shopkeepers and local residents shut the doors to trap it inside.
After nearly five hours of containment, wildlife officials tranquilised the beast, gently captured it, and then released it back into its natural habitat, according to local authorities.
The incident highlights the increasing territorial encroachment of wild animals into human spaces in the region.
