The moment fans have eagerly awaited for almost 16 years has finally arrived as Oasis embarks on their highly-anticipated reunion tour, kicking off on Friday night at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The band's second album, *What’s the Story* Morning Glory?, has cemented its status as one of the best-selling records of all time, boasting over 22 million copies sold globally.

Soundchecks and rehearsals have created an electric atmosphere, with snippets of classics like “Wonderwall” and “Champagne Supernova” wafting through the streets. Frontman Noel Gallagher described the sound as “huge” during an interview with talkSPORT, expressing his excitement: “This is it, there's no going back now.”

The *Oasis Live '25* tour has become a record-setting event in the UK and Ireland, with 10 million fans from 158 countries vying for tickets. Approximately 900,000 of those tickets were sold; however, complaints arose over controversial pricing tactics as “in-demand” standard tickets advertised at £135 were later priced at £355, prompting the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to investigate Ticketmaster for consumer protection law breaches.

Nevertheless, the ticketing controversy has not dampened the spirit in Cardiff, where devoted fans from as far as Japan and Peru have arrived. Jeff Gachini, a fan from Kenya, shared his excitement: “For me, Oasis represents an overwhelming optimism about being young and loving music.” He is among the 74,000 fortunate attendees for the opening night.

The band has reunited with key figures from its history, including original members Gem Archer, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, and Andy Bell, alongside drummer Joey Waronker. They will showcase new arrangements, including a brass section and backing vocalist Jess Greenfield, known from Noel's High Flying Birds.

Rumors about the setlist abound, with speculation that the band will kick off with “Hello” and close with “Champagne Supernova,” featuring memorable hits like “Live Forever” and “Supersonic.” Noel is also expected to take lead vocals for select songs.

Oasis dominated the British music scene from 1994 to 1997, selling millions of albums and notoriously known for their tumultuous sibling rivalry between Noel and Liam Gallagher. Their split in 2009 spawned years of speculation regarding a possible reunion. While both brothers pursued solo careers, past tensions have reportedly eased following personal changes, leading to this momentous comeback.

Experts predict that the reunion tour could yield up to £400 million in ticket and merchandise sales. With plans for 41 shows across multiple continents, the reunited Oasis aims to recapture the magic that made them legends, asserting that this tour may be their final journey together. The first concert is set to begin at 20:15 UK time, marking a monumental occasion for both the band and their fans.
