Comeback Announcement

Céline Dion has announced her return to the stage, four years after being diagnosed with an incurable condition that affected her singing voice and mobility. The beloved star will embark on a 10-night residency at the 40,000-capacity Paris La Défense Arena in September and October.

The announcement coincided with Dion's 58th birthday, and in a heartfelt message posted to Instagram, she stated, this is the best gift of my life. Dion emphasized her readiness and excitement for the comeback, stating, I'm feeling good, I'm strong, I'm feeling excited, obviously, [and] of course, a little nervous..

Addressing her health challenges, the singer reassured fans, saying, I'm doing great, managing my health, feeling good. I'm singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing. Dion thanked her supporters, saying, I felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love.

High Demand for Tickets

Dion, who is one of the best-selling artists of all-time, has not performed live since a show in Newark, New Jersey in March 2020, after her Courage tour was cut short due to the pandemic. Following her diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome, she had to cancel all subsequent performances.

Her upcoming concert dates, spaced out significantly to manage her health, are expected to see high ticket demand when they go on sale on April 7; fans can register their interest on her official website starting from March 31.

Health Journey

In December 2022, Dion revealed she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological condition that causes severe muscle spasms disrupting mobility. The artist has worked diligently with a medical team to overcome the challenges posed by this condition, undergoing rigorous physical and vocal therapy five days a week.

Dion’s determination was evident when she made a remarkable comeback performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, singing Hymne à l'Amour from the Eiffel Tower. Her affinity for Paris remains strong, as reflected in her emotional connection to the city.
