In his Instagram post, Joel mentioned he is undergoing specific physical therapy and is committed to improving his health. His wife, Alexis Joel, expressed gratitude for the medical care received and shared hopes for a speedy recovery.As a result of his diagnosis, Joel has canceled 17 performances planned for North America and Europe through 2026, including major concerts at Murrayfield and Anfield. Known for classic hits like "Uptown Girl" and "Piano Man," Joel recently wrapped up a celebrated decade-long residency at Madison Square Garden, with his last performance taking place in February 2025, after an incident where he fell during a show.
