Ibiza Rocks, a popular hotel and music venue in Spain, has decided to suspend its upcoming events after the recent deaths of two British men in separate incidents. Gary Kelly, 19, lost his life in a fall at the venue on Monday, while 26-year-old Evan Thomson had earlier died this month under different circumstances. In a statement, Ibiza Rocks expressed its "deep shock and devastation," emphasizing the seriousness of the situation and the need for respect for those involved.

According to Spain's civil guard, Mr. Kelly's fall appeared to be accidental, occurring during the early hours of Monday morning. The venue is actively collaborating with local authorities to investigate the incidents, maintaining that "the safety and wellbeing of our guests has, and always will remain, our highest priority."

A spokesperson for the Foreign Office confirmed that they are supporting the family of the deceased and are in communication with local authorities. Mr. Kelly, known for his talent in ice hockey with the Dundee Stars, was honored by the club, which described him as a "hugely talented and charismatic individual" and expressed sorrow over his untimely passing.

His mother posted a heartfelt tribute on social media after Mr. Thomson's death on July 7, revealing that he had been enjoying a holiday with friends in Ibiza. She conveyed her heartbreak at the loss and described the tragic circumstances of his passing.

Ibiza Rocks had planned a series of significant events this summer, including appearances by various renowned artists, including a scheduled R&B dance party this coming Sunday featuring rapper Dizzee Rascal. Although the venue has not specified how many events will be cancelled, it has pledged to notify affected customers via email. Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Ibiza Rocks is known for its combination of hotel accommodations, music events, and pool parties.
