KPop Demon Hunters delves into the lives of the fictional band Huntr/x, whose three members—Rumi, Mira, and Zoey—lead a double life as fierce demon hunters. Utilizing their music during live performances to safeguard their fans from supernatural threats, they face off against their rivals, the Saja Boys, who are on a mission from their demon king, Gwi-ma, to capture the souls of Huntr/x's loyal followers.

The project was brought to life by Sony Pictures Animation, directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, featuring contributions from notable producers, including Teddy Park, famed for his work with Blackpink, and BTS collaborator Lindgren.
