A serious incident unfolded at Avalon Airport in southeastern Australia when a 17-year-old boy, armed with a shotgun and claiming he had bombs, attempted to board Jetstar Flight 610, which was destined for Sydney with approximately 150 passengers on board. Authorities confirmed that the event took place on Thursday afternoon, prompting immediate action from both passengers and crew members.The teen, whose identity has not been disclosed, reportedly entered the aircraft wearing a high-visibility vest and tool belt, raising concerns when a crew member asked him for credentials. Barry Clark, a sheep shearer traveling to Sydney for a football match, witnessed the unfolding situation and took matters into his own hands."It escalated quickly," Clark recounted. "He became agitated, and suddenly there was a shotgun in view." Without hesitation, Clark intervened by physically restraining the teenager, locking his arm and incapacitating him on the ground until authorities arrived.Victoria Police arrived shortly after the incident was reported and took the suspect into custody, charging him with multiple offenses. Meanwhile, the police bomb response unit was called in to examine two bags and a vehicle linked to the teen, although no injuries were reported. The swift actions of Clark and other passengers played a crucial role in averting what could have been a disastrous event for all involved.
