UN humanitarian agencies on Oct. 29 reported that airstrikes in Gaza’s Khan Younis damaged infrastructure, displaced about 100 Palestinian families, and struck a UN warehouse with flying debris, but UN staff were unharmed.

In the West Bank, the Hebron Municipality authorities recorded that roughly 3,000 Palestinians remain displaced from two neighborhoods, while Israeli forces continue to operate in the area and impose tight movement restrictions across the governorate.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said its safety and security partners observed the warehouse hit, and mentioned over the past week that 100 families lost tents and belongings in incidents tied to airstrikes, fires and other events.

Other OCHA updates indicated that Israeli operations are disrupting Palestinians’ access to livelihoods, education and health services, and that most displaced families are staying with relatives receiving support from local authorities and humanitarian partners.

OCHA urged all parties to uphold obligations to protect civilians, including humanitarian personnel, and called for the lifting of restrictions on humanitarian supplies and additional funding from UN member states to scale up services in Gaza.

The World Health Organization highlighted that acute respiratory infections are the leading health concern in Gaza, with increased cases of viral and bacterial meningitis reported in the WHO Gaza update covering Oct. 7, 2023 to Sept. 30, 2026.
