Former model Stacey Williams recently claimed in a CNN interview that former President Donald Trump groped her in the 1990s, an incident she says took place in 1993 at Trump Tower in New York City. Williams described being introduced to Trump by her then-boyfriend, Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. She recounted an uncomfortable encounter, stating, “The second he [Trump] was in front of me, he pulled me into him, and his hands were just on me and didn’t come off.”
Following the revelation, the Trump campaign rejected Williams' assertion, pointing out that she originally shared the story at a fundraising event for Kamala Harris. Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt branded the accusations as “unequivocally false,” suggesting they were crafted to detract from emerging allegations against Doug Emhoff, Harris's husband, who was accused of slapping an ex-girlfriend in 2012.
In her statements, Williams described the episode as “an out of body experience,” indicating she felt paralyzed during the encounter. Following this incident, she reportedly ended her relationship with Epstein, who faced serious legal troubles before his death in 2019. Williams's claims come amid broader allegations against Trump, who has faced a slew of accusations of sexual misconduct since his 2016 presidential campaign, all of which he has denied. In one notable legal case this year, a civil jury found Trump liable for sexually abusing writer E. Jean Carroll, resulting in multiple defamation lawsuits against him.
