The incident occurred early Saturday, approximately 5 kilometers from the city of Uyuni. Police reports indicated that one driver is in intensive care, while the other is stable. Local authorities suggest the crash resulted from a "lane invasion," as the buses were operating on the busy route connecting Uyuni to Colchani.
