The impact left their home in ruins, with debris and belongings strewn across the area, as flames engulfed nearby cars.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that over 440 drones and 32 missiles were launched in a barrage that lasted nine hours, with Kyiv enduring some of the heaviest attacks since the onset of the invasion. The strikes tore apart a section of a nine-story building, leaving entire regions of the capital devastated.
Dr. Serhii Dubrov of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital detailed the injuries his team treated, which ranged from soft tissue damage to severe traumatic brain injuries. The victims represented a wide demographic, including the elderly, who were particularly vulnerable during such chaos.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky was abroad at a G7 meeting in Canada, where analysts speculated the timing of the attacks was a calculated message from Russia.
