Two people have been killed in what police say was a 'rolling terror attack' in northern Israel.

Police reported that the attacker ran over a pedestrian in the eastern city of Beit Shean, then continued westward before stabbing a woman near Ein Harod, approximately 8 miles away.

The assailant was shot and wounded by a civilian bystander, with authorities confirming that the suspect is a resident of the Palestinian Authority from the occupied West Bank.

Israel's Magen David Adom emergency service indicated that the victim killed in Beit Shean was a 68-year-old man, while the stabbing victim in Ein Harod was an 18-year-old woman.
