Three €9m Paintings Recovered After Masked Theft at Italian Museum
Police have recovered three high‑value artworks that were stolen from the Magnani Rocca Museum near Parma in northern Italy. The thief crew broke into the museum on the night of 22 March, and CCTV footage—now public—captures the masked intruders entering the building.
The recovered pieces—a Cézanne, a Renoir and a Matisse—are estimated to total €9 million (about £7.8 million). Their theft was a major blow to the art community, and the recovery represents a critical counter‑crime victory.
