Ontario police have charged a 34‑year‑old woman with 65 counts of fraud, theft and related offences for stealing from patients and staff across five hospitals in the province between February 2024 and March 2026.
Nassim Eronn, a Burlington resident, was identified by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) after an initial theft was reported at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. OPP said the suspect worked at several health centres and was suspected of stealing merchandise, money and personal items.
The charges include 34 counts of fraud under $5,000, 13 counts of theft under $5,000 and seven counts of disobeying a court order, in addition to breaches of trust and impersonation.
Investigators say the scheme began in February 2024 and continued up to March 2026. The OPP conducted multiple search warrants, seizing large amounts of property from the suspect’s vehicle and residence.
Police have urged anyone who may have been a victim or witnessed suspicious activity to come forward and review their financial records for unexplained transactions. There may be additional victims yet to be identified.
Five healthcare facilities are covered by the investigation:
- Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (Orillia, ON) – April 2025 to March 2026
- Headwaters Health Care Centre (Orangeville, ON) – August 2026 to September 2026
- Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga Hospital (Mississauga, ON) – August 2025 to July 2026
- St Joseph's Health Centre (Toronto, ON) – July 2024 to January 2025
- West Park Health Care Centre (Toronto, ON) – February 2024 to April 2024
