In a stunning Game 4, the New York Knicks erased a 29‑point deficit to edge the San Antonio Spurs 107‑106, setting the biggest comeback in NBA Finals history. The win gives the Knicks a 3‑1 series lead and places them one game away from a national championship.

The New York crowd witnessed a record‑setting reversal: the Knicks had trailed by 29 points early, yet were down by only a single point with 1.2 seconds left on the clock. OG Anunoby, wearing number 8, hit the decisive three‑point jump‑shot to slash the gap between the teams and snap the score at 107‑106.

“It was just unbelievable” said coach Mike Brown as the team celebrated. The moment has already earned legendary status among New York basketball fans.

The city erupted in celebration; street vendors draped Empire State Building lanes in Knicks colors and the public library’s lion paw statues rippled in city‑wide cheer. Celebrity fans—including Taylor Swift, Timothee Chalamet, Spike Lee and Ben Stiller—lined the arena and shouted the team’s nickname, shouting “O‑G! O‑G!” for the player who delivered the famous basket.

With New York now clubbing for a historic title, the series will resume in San Antonio in Game 5 on Saturday night. The Spurs have a chance to rally, but the Knicks carry a 3‑2 advantage and the momentum from the historic comeback.

If the Knicks can win Game 5, they will become national champions for the first time since 1973, fulfilling a dream that has hung over the franchise for nearly a century.
