Marius Borg Høiby, the 28-year-old son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, is currently facing serious allegations, including three counts of rape and 23 other offences. Høiby, who is also the stepson of Norway's future king, was arrested multiple times throughout 2024 and has been under investigation since August 4 of that year. The Norwegian police have concluded a 10-month investigation and have now passed the findings to prosecutors, who will ultimately decide on any charges. His lawyer, Petar Sekulic, affirmed that Høiby is taking the allegations seriously, but he denies most of the accusations, particularly those involving sexual violence and abuse.

The Oslo police stated they conducted a comprehensive investigation involving witness interviews, searches, and extensive analysis of digital materials. Høiby was questioned several times during the investigation and reportedly cooperated fully with law enforcement. The list of allegations against him includes four counts of sexually offensive behavior, one count of abuse within a close relationship, and two counts of bodily harm. Despite the serious nature of the case, some allegations were dismissed by police based on statute limitations and evidentiary issues. The police attorney indicated that there are multiple victims involved, as they confirmed a "double-digit number." As the case advances through the legal system, the Royal House of Norway has refrained from making additional comments, emphasizing that the matter is now in the hands of legal authorities.
