Ella Langley Cancels Tulsa Concert Amid Alleged Security Threat
The 27‑year‑old country star knocked out Friday’s sold‑out show at Tulsa’s 19,000‑seater BOK Center just two hours before kickoff.
Langley announced the cancellation in a short Instagram post, calling the decision “incredibly difficult” and stressing that she is worried about “the safety of my fans, the venue staff and my team.”
Police chief Richard Meulenberg said the county received a phone call warning that “great harm” would be done to attendees, with “shots fired and bombs” allegedly planned for the event.
After double‑checking the arena with their sniffer dogs, BOK Center officers found no credible threat, yet they chose to err on the side of caution.
The venue released a statement stating that “the safety and well‑being of everyone involved is our absolute priority” and that the show could not proceed.
Langley apologized again to her fans and said ticket refunds would be announced “as soon as possible.”
The singer’s single “Choosin’ Texas” recently became the longest‑running U.S. chart‑topping country track, and she has swept the 2026 Academy of Country Music awards last month.
A local judge has yet to approve the concert’s cancellation, but the decision has already led to disappointment among thousands who had bought tickets for the event.
