In a revealing CNN interview, Stacey Williams, a former model, has alleged that Donald Trump groped her during a 1993 encounter, which she claims was facilitated by disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. At the time, Williams stated she was in a relationship with Epstein, who brought her to meet Trump at Trump Tower in New York City. "The second he [Trump] was in front of me, he pulled me into him, and his hands were just on me and didn’t come off," Williams recounted.
In response, the Trump campaign swiftly denied the allegations, characterizing them as politically motivated. Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt pointed out that Williams initially disclosed her experience during an event supporting the Democratic White House nominee, Kamala Harris. "These accusations... announced on a Harris Campaign call two weeks before the election, are unequivocally false," Leavitt stated, arguing that the claims serve as a distraction from allegations against Kamala Harris's husband, Doug Emhoff.
During her interview, Williams elaborated on the incident, recalling how Trump's hands "touched the side of my breasts, on my hips, back down to my butt, back up," highlighting that she felt paralyzed during the encounter. After this alleged incident, she reported breaking up with Epstein, who faced serious criminal charges in 2019 and died by suicide while in custody.
Williams’s accusations are part of a broader tapestry of sexual assault allegations against Trump, many of which have emerged since he launched his presidential campaign in 2016. Despite these claims, Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing. In 2023, a civil jury ruled that Trump was liable for the sexual abuse of writer E. Jean Carroll, resulting in a series of defamation lawsuits that Carroll won against him due to his derogatory statements.
