Aftershocks ranging from 4.7 to 6 magnitude have been felt across the region, rattling buildings and prompting evacuations in some El Salvador communities.
Governors in Oaxaca and Chiapas declared no serious damage and paused administrative and private‑sector operations to ensure safety.
